In March 2022, I began learning Ukrainian to gain a better understanding of the war from the perspective of those most impacted by it.

Now, I draw on my decade of experience as a journalist to report on intersectional aspects of the war in both Ukrainian and English, as well as document my language-learning journey, to an international audience of nearly 50,000 followers.
